Georgia Ioannidou received her Diploma in Chemical Engineering on November 2019 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. For two years, she was working as an undergraduate researcher under the supervision of Professor Christos Chatzidoukas, where she studied the cellulose and starch enzymatic hydrolysis of plant biomass in order to produce glucose. She is currently a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Angeliki Lemonidou at the Laboratory of Petrochemical Technology of the Chemical Engineering Department. Her PhD thesis focuses on the catalytic conversion of glycerol into propylene.
Her research interests include biomass utilization for biofuels and biochemicals production. Catalyst synthesis, enzyme catalysis, statistical analysis, analytical laboratory techniques are part of her professional activities.
